Often, employers erroneously classify employees as “exempt” employees, meaning they are not entitled to overtime wages. However, after careful consideration of the nature of the position and job duties, employees often discover they should, in fact, be deemed “non–exempt employees” and, therefore, are entitled to overtime wages.
